Common Light is developing a leadership course called Flourishing Leaders and looking for three innovative teams or organizations to help us refine our approach.
Flourishing Leaders is designed to help people expand awareness and deepen organizational impact by working with and for purpose. Drawing from experiential learning, neuroscience, various wisdom traditions, and change management frameworks like Theory U (MIT), Adaptive Leadership (Harvard), and Ecosynomics (UT Austin), Flourishing Leaders empowers individuals to effectively respond to their challenges by illuminating their capacity to support others' purposes within their own.
We’re offering this pilot at no cost to participating teams while we finalize the course’s design.
What's Involved
A practical leadership program that builds contemplative and collaborative skills for human flourishing within your organization and beyond
Six virtual sessions over twelve weeks (90 minutes each), with light work in between each session
Start date no later than January 15
What You’ll Come Away With
A roadmap for aligning organizational resources with capacities that drive higher performance, positive culture, and long-term benefits for people and the planet
The language, frameworks, and methods to "slow down" without sacrificing productivity, inquire effectively into others' experiences, and co-create solutions that benefit diverse stakeholders across multiple dimensions
Access to assessment tools to support teams and individuals working towards change, and network of aligned practitioners spanning sectors and continents
Who’s This For
Leaders in any sector (private, non-profit, public) are capable of working with purpose, no matter their position. The program is designed for individuals or small teams (~2-5 people) who are:
Interested in making substantial progress on persistent challenges, such as misalignment, internal conflict, and transactional relationships across individuals, teams, and stakeholders
Passionate about purpose-driven initiatives, conscious collaboration, and contemplation practice to enhance both well-being and results
Seeking to cultivate new capacities in themselves and their organizations, broaden their perspective, and join a network of aligned practitioners and thought leaders
This is an engaged learning program, not a typical leadership development course. Participants learn together through the active exploration of their experience and potentials, supporting each other's development while creating new capacities.
